T-Shirts Banned at Macy’s - Brown is the New White

T-Shirts were removed from Macy’s shelves because they were reported as “Offensive” by some shoppers. The t-shirts read “Brown is the new White”. “Schwartz said it would have been bad had it not gotten a lot of media attention, thus promoting the new product.”The T-shirt in question is one of about 20 designs. Other designs make fun of accents, political figures and social class. Macy’s still carries the other designs.”The idea is to maybe make some social commentary, but to poke fun at it and hopefully do some cool things” Schwartz said.
