American Flag T-Shirts Banned in School

Recently, several students were suspended from Shaw Heights Middle School in Denver Colorado. They were suspended for wear tee shirts that depicted the American Flag. This is a violation of the schools dress code that was recently initiated.
One child, wearing a tee shirt DARE, (an anti drug program taught in every school in the country) was also suspended because there was an American Flag in the backdrop of the shirt, and still another was suspended for wearing a Marine tee shirt in support of her brother. The child is eleven years old.

Parents and students are banning together to fight this rule, they feel that the tee shirts are not disruptive, and show support for their country, and for the family members that are serving in the Armed Forces.
The Students have vowed to continue wearing the tee shirts that have got them suspended. They feel that it is their right.
Most students were not aware of the tee shirt rule until they were suspended. The parents of these students were outraged that their children were suspended over such a trivial matter. Every child that was suspended has a connection to the Armed forces. They either have someone in their family that is serving or has retired from the military.
