Frozen T-Shirt Contest Sign Banned?

A t-shirt sign used for advertising a contest has been “deemed inappropriate by borough council President Leo Pietkiewicz, especially with Heritage Day Festivities scheduled for today.” The t-shirt contest is sponsored by Heineken and scheduled for September 6, 2008.

The contest involves getting Heineken T-shirts wet, folding and freezing them. Eight people are picked from the crowd to unfold the shirt wear the t-shirt over their clothes and the first person to do it wins. The issue by the council is that people might misinterpret the sign to imply a wet t-shirt contest.
