Pink T-Shirts worn as legal public punishment

Two people were offered the ability to do a public punishment outside the City Hall by wearing bright pink shirts with their charges. The charges include public intoxication and theft. This is not the first time people have been able to server their sentence wearing a t-shirt. In another case shoplifters at Wal-Mart were able to serve public punishment in April. The use of a t-shirt for public punishment is a new alternative to wearing a sign. The person who is convicted of the crime has to pay for the t-shirt but doesn’t get to choose its style of color. They have not figured out if this type of punishment is effective yet.
