Players suspended for derogatory acts t-shirt

Lee Trundle and Alan Tate were arrested for suspicion of public order offenses. Trundle and Tate were released on bail till the end of April when a hearing will be held. Under the public order, no person shall use offensive, threatening, and abusive or insulting language in public. Anyone found guilty of violating this act can be incarcerated for up to six months and fined. Trundle and Tate wore tee shirts depicting derogatory acts upon a rival teams player.

The men were upset over a recent victory by the opposing team. The players and their club will also be charged with misconduct by the FAW. (Football Association of Wales.) They could face heavy fines and bans. A conviction in this case could cost the Coca Cola championship for the team. The FAW released a statement saying that the behavior is not acceptable for any player and that it is extremely insulting to the opposing teams player and that the matters being taken very seriously. This is the first incident of this nature since 1994 when a former Birmingham city player wore a vulgar tee shirt mocking his opponent. In that incident the player was banded for three games and fined an undisclosed amount.
