School District Bans all T-Shirts starting January 2008

The Lebanon School District has plans for a new dress code in January that would ban t-shirts. In a 5-3 vote the school board voted to require students to wear collared shirts and t-shirts are BANNED. Insignia other than school logos are prohibited. What is interesting about this is that they go on to say that “School officials might allow exceptions based on religion or economic distress.” The ban on certain clothes such as t-shirts might make the school safer and possibly make students more productive. make an already safe school system any safer.
