Students suspended for inappropriate T-shirts
Several students were suspended from Crocker High School for wearing inappropriate T-shirts. The t-shirts were printed with message protesting the resignation of their school principal, Wayne Juliano. Four of the students wore tee shirts with “SAB” printed on them. This stands for “Students against Bogle.”
Jim Bogle is the Superintendent of Schools and is blamed for the resignation of the beloved principal. The group of students had gathered approximately sixty signatures on the petition to protest the resignation. The students learned of the resignation of Juliano from their parents who had attended the school board meeting at which he made the announcement and submitted his resignation.
The children got together and formed the plan to wear the tee shirts in protest of principal Juliano leaving. Some of the children have missed sporting events, as the rule is if a student is suspended they cannot participate on sports teams during that suspension. The official reason the children were suspended is for disrupting the educational process. State law limits how much information school officials can release about student discipline cases. While not identifying the students by name, Crocker Elementary School Principal Doug Jacobson confirmed that several students have been suspended.
